Less rice - more avocado & sweet potatoes! Yes, best sushi & beats the sushi I’ve tried all over Asheville. Could’ve been a bit more generous on the spicy mayo, but overall I’m very pleased. (:

Sushi was so good and everything was fresh. We got several of their speciality rolls, our favorite was the Sunset roll. We also got the miso soup and the vegetable dumpling soup, both were great. Our server was really nice and everything came out super fast. Will definitely be back!

Excellent sushi! Everything was fresh and flavorful. We were seated outside and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. There was no wait and our food came out quickly. The recommended sake that was refreshing and smooth. I would recommend and look forward to dining here on our next trip.

Located in the Cheshire Village in Black Mountain, NC, Sake Sushi was a great stop for dinner. There was 5 of us and everyone enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. For appetizers, we got the Tempura Appetizer, consisting of golden battered fried shrimp and vegetables and the Crab and Tuna Rangoon, which was crab, ground tuna, cream cheese and tobiko deep fried in wonton wrap. For dinner we got the Sunset Roll, a refreshing cucumber roll with crab and cream cheese, Chirashi Sushi, 12 pieces of assorted sashimi over a bowl of white rice, and some hibachi dishes. All were very tasty and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be back again.

Sake is our local sushi restaurant - there are larger, busier sushi places in Asheville, but we always choose Sake. Their staff is super friendly and thorough, and the food is always good (some fun weekly specials too).

Fantastic dinner. Friendly staff. The ginger dressing is delicious. We loved the Godzilla, Hawaiian Roll, and Sunset Roll. The fried rice and soba noodles with chicken were also great.

This is truly a gem. Tucked away in a plaza with outdoor patio. Treat yourself and go for the chef's sushi lunch!

First time and I was impressed, delicious food and excellent service. The food had a good portion and the price was ok.
